All Altaire dedicated server solutions are a full managed. This means we are responsible for the network infrastructure, server hardware, operating systems and applications components. On building a dedicated solution we will tailor the hardware and software platform to your exact requirements. Don't worry if you are unsure which dedicated server you need - we are more than happy to recommend a suitable server just give us a call. All backups, patches and security updates will be administrated by our dedicated in-house team. If preferred you can have complete root access and manage the software platform yourselves.

Server administration

We will keep your dedicated server up to date for you. Our fully trained in-house engineers are experienced with most operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server, Linux/Unix/Solaris. We will install updates and make sure that your anti-virus is up to date. We will also ensure that your server is running properly and efficiently at all times, we keep in stock duplicates of all hardware components so that we can ensure hardware is always running correctly. Our preferred choice of dedicated servers (HP DL380) offer advanced features such as the ability to replace certain faulty hardware components whilst the machine is still running (hard drives/processors/memory are all hot swappable).

Backup and recovery

Using our own MyDocuments Backup and recovery software we will ensure that your data is always backed up and can be recovered quickly and efficiently.

Security

Your dedicated server will be safe from attacks behind one of our monitored firewalls so only the traffic you want will reach you!

Monitoring

Servers are monitored 24/7 by our dedicated support team who, in the event of a problem, will work diligently to restore your server to optimum performance while keeping you informed of progress. Once a fault is resolved a root cause analysis will automatically be triggered to reduce the likelihood of a reoccurrence.
